"The room is relatively small, and the design is similar to that of domestic express hotels. The bathroom is separated from the room by glass.
The hotel facilities are not that many. There is no swimming pool or gym, and you have to pay to use the ones outside.
There is a public lounge in the middle of each floor where you can drink water, but there are not many kinds of drinks. There are snacks but they are not delicious.
There are windows, but they can hardly be opened because they will face the office building outside.
Overall, it is not worth the price.
Advantages: The service attitude is good, and you have to change your shoes when entering the hotel, which is more interesting, and there are some traditional Japanese styles. "
"A very good Japanese-style B&B ~ The room is large and very clean. The toilet, bathroom, and hand washing area are separated and can be used by several people at the same time. There is also a washing machine outside, and there are also laundries and convenience stores nearby. The only drawback is the location. It is relatively remote, so you have to take a bus from Kita Ikebukuro to Ikebukuro Station."
"First of all, I was surprised at the atmosphere that was completely different from the image from the appearance of the building which was baptized without cleanliness in the whole hotel. Especially, the very filthy system of putting the message from the front desk on the floor under the room door was difficult to withstand. I went to look forward to having a drink at the front desk, but I stopped seeing the number of message cards placed on the floor on the way to get 々 and I felt bad. Even if a drink was prepared with the hand that exchanged the filthy card. The room felt narrower than the plain rice of the display, and it was actually quite different from the stylish interior like the photograph. The room was not clean, the furniture, the wall, the bathroom, all of which were clean, especially the cloth under the bed was long and very filthy. The table is small and there is no space to put things properly. When you open the door with the refrigerator, the door of the safe comes to you, so you have to open the refrigerator while pressing it. The hand washing of the washbasin is also important to look? It was very hard to use to fly up there. Only the bathtub was large and beautiful. The business hotel of 10000 yen per night was the top."

"First off, the hotel staff is INCREDIBLE!!! They all spoke excellent English, and they offered to help without being asked. They kept my luggage in storage, offered me water and coffee before checking in, and gave me directions when I asked. The hotel is right by the station, making it very easy to get to. It's on a quiet street, and is in general quite quiet at night. The rooms are on the smaller side (typical of Japan) and on the humid side (typical during the rainy season) but the room had a dehumidifier that I suggest you use. All in all, a positive experience, made better by the excellent staff. Thank you."
"Very satisfied, the service is excellent! If you stay one less day, you will be given check-out money. It is very hygienic. It is also very cost-effective to treat friends to dinner. The transportation is convenient. I will stay in this hotel next time."
"The historic and artistic Tokyo Station Hotel is one of my favorite hotels and has a great location with direct access from the airport and other cities. The staff is friendly and outstanding. Breakfast was superb and the restaurant staff greet the guests with a smile and always be courteous. I stayed for 12 days and feel like home."

Amazing
GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!
LLiu LindsayLocation is the biggest highlight! Easy access to both Shinjuku and Yoyogi stations, as well as shopping destinations like Takashiyama, NEWoman and Lumine, etc.
Really enjoyed the Mixed Omelette from the breakfast buffet.
All staff spoke a good level of English, and were always willing to help me.
Although the room doesn’t offer bottled water for a sustainable purpose, all floors are equipped with water machine.
The welcome flower setting at the lobby is always a delightful pleasure.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserVery convenient just 5mins to Shinjuku Station. Very clean and most importantly, ample space to open our suitcase wide, seldom seen in most Tokyo hotels. Space is wisely designed for guests’ good usage. Tv many local and overseas channels. Totally value for money, will stay again for sure

AAnonymous UserI arrived early morning hence was only able to leave my luggage at the reception. Check in was at 2pm and the hotel was nice to accept my request prior to booking for a room on the ladies floor for security reasons and I am also a solo traveller. Amenities like toothbrush, comb and tea packets are provided at the reception too. My only wish is that I hope in future the Hotel can provide at least an international or English movie channel for foreign guests.

GGuest UserGreat stay at this hotel! Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and excellent amenities. The location was convenient, close to popular attractions. Breakfast had a wide variety of options. Overall, a wonderful experience and would highly recommend to others. Will definitely return on my next visit to the city. Highly satisfied!

HHanhuiThe hotel room is quite small, but enough for one person. The breakfast buffet is okay, both Japanese and western to choose from, not bad but nothing outstanding. The free drink bar is quite good, nice to have a drink after a long day out, they have both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.

KKJGood for solo traveller and accessible to 7-11 & restaurants. Room cleaning every day from 11 to 3pm, overall the restroom & capsule was clean.
Tips for improvement on the USB charger in the capsule, will suggest to install a wall outlet instead for fast charging for laptop or hp.

DDratinaThe outside of the building is huge. There are so many amenities to choose from at reception. Definitely gives the impression its a 4* hotel. When I got into my room I could see rust and marks in the bathroom, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. I wasn't pleased that the WiFi kept cutting out constantly. Now I got the impression it was a 2-3* hotel. Room service was excellent until the last night when they forgot to leave a night dress. The location is excellent, very close to the station and surrounded by shops. There's an amazon locker close by which helps with my online shopping addiction lol. I forgot to take a picture of the hotel and the amazing view but I got one of the symbol in the front garden.
GGuest UserIt’s our first time in Tokyo. My family and I stayed in standard double bedrooms which have windows. We are really impressed with the hotel’s service. They have luggage deposit service for free. You can deposit your luggage before you check in and after you check out. They adjusted the direction of the escalator for us. The overall of rooms’ size and hotel is quite small, but it doesn’t bother that much. The location is so great that you can visit many famous shops like Uniqlo, Donki, GU near the place. And, it’s near a market and the train station including KS line. The restaurants near here are nice. The food tasted so delicious, even if we just randomly chose to eat. However, Ueno has a lot of clubs, so at night there’re several girls standing alongside the street with their guards. It may seem dangerous for someone.
